MAPUSA: Six shops at the Mapusa Market were reportedly broken into late at night in an attempted theft, causing concern among traders in the area.
Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the break-ins and conducted a preliminary inspection of the affected shops. According to initial reports, no items were found stolen, suggesting that the attempt may have been unsuccessful.
Traders expressed worry over the incident and called for increased night patrolling in and around the market area to prevent such occurrences.
