MAPUSA: Mapusa Police today have arrested two persons for stealing away 45 metal centering plates worth Rs 1 lakh from a good carrier Mini tempo at dawn on Saturday.
The accused confessed of the crime and a vehicle used to transport the stolen materials seized, metal plated also recovered.
During the course of investigation staff after developing the information through sources and after meticulous efforts intercepted one TATA Ace Goods carrier Mini Tempo bearing registration No. GA-01-T-7659 along with two Males Mr. Rajuel Shaikh S/o Mohammad Naru Shaikh, aged 21 years R/o Merces, St. Cruz, Tiswadi, Goa and Mr. Bipul Kanti Biswas S/o Ranjit Blswas, aged 41 years N/o Chhora Colony, Chhora Hattala, Bardhanman, West Bengal R/o Merces, Tiswadi, Goa at Merces, Tiswadi, Goa and during the search of TATA Ace Goods carrier Mini Tempo bearing registration No. GA-01-T-7659 found stolen property i.e. 30 Metal Centering plates kept at Merces, Tiswadi, Goa.
During interrogation both the above accused admitted of their involvement in the above crime. Accordingly accused persons were placed under arrest in above crime on 31/07/2021.
Further from the instance of above accused person stolen property i. e. Metal Centering plates W/Rs. 1,00,000/- has been recovered which was kept at Merces, Tiswadi,Goa and same has been attached under the panchanama.
Also One Mini tempo bearing No. GA-01-T-7695 has been attached and taken into custody which was used in the commission of above crime.
