MAPUSA: The Aam Aadmi Party’s BJPCheBurak campaign on Monday evening exposed yet another failure of the Pramod Sawant-led BJP government—this time in the heart of North Goa.
AAP Goa Youth Wing Vice President Salman Khan led a delegation in Mapusa, where a 200-metre stretch of the town’s busiest road has been reduced to a pothole-ridden disaster, crippling traffic and endangering lives.
Salman stressed that Mapusa, being one of the most populated and commercially significant towns in Goa, deserves far better civic infrastructure.
“Instead, the lifeline road has been reduced to a pothole-ridden mess, putting thousands of commuters at risk every day. Such roads don’t just damage vehicles, they are death traps,” he warned.
He further added:
“Every rupee of tax that Goans pay is being swallowed by these potholes. What we receive in return is shoddy, substandard work that doesn’t even last one monsoon. This is BJP’s model of governance—loot in the name of development and leave Goans to suffer.”
Salman reiterated that Goans are not asking for luxuries, only for safe and motorable roads.
“But under BJP, every road has turned into #BJPCheBurak,” he said, vowing that AAP will continue to expose the hollowness of the BJP’s development claims.
