MARGAO: Margao Court has extended the police remand of the accused Omkar Patil, Mustafa Sheikh and Evander Rodrigues by another four days in the Swapnil Walke Murder case.
The 10 day police custody of all the three accused had ended on Sunday.
Putting to rest all the “rumoured” stories surrounding Margao jeweller Swapnil Walke murder case, the police today said that “armed robbery’ was the sole motive of the heinous crime.
Director General of Police Mukesh Kumar Meena said that the robbery was not planned properly which led to murder of Walke.
Almost ten days after the crime was reported, that shaken entire Goa, DGP today visited the crime site and interacted with officials of South Goa police, collector South Goa, Margao market Association and jewellery owners with regards to the case
“Margao robbery was sole motive in Swapnil Walke murder case; case transferred to Crime Branch as it is a heinous crime; robbery was not planned properly which led to murder.” said DGP
