MARGAO: In a proactive move to curb traffic violations, the Margao Town Police initiated action against multiple offenders during routine patrols this week.
Led by Police Inspector Suraj Samant, officers identified several violations, resulting in the seizure of four two-wheelers.
Two rent-a-bike vehicles were found illegally parked on the footpath and were operating without valid fitness certificates.
Both vehicles were immediately attached as per legal provisions.
In a separate incident, police seized two motorcycles equipped with modified silencers and lacking number plates.
Authorities stated that such modifications not only violate the Motor Vehicles Act but also contribute to noise pollution in the area.
Legal action has been initiated against all offenders. The Margao Town Police have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring public safety and warned of strict action against similar violations in the future.
