BIICHOLIM: A massive torch march was taken out this evening across Goa by social activists demanding justice in the VasantI Salelkar death case.
The march began from VasantI’s residence and culminated at the Bicholim Police Station.
Activists gathered in large numbers alleging that VasantI’s death by electrocution was suspicious and demanded a thorough investigation.
They also highlighted earlier complaints of harassment and assault that VasantI had reportedly faced at her residence prior to her death.
Social workers from Bicholim taluka and across Goa joined the march, pressing for a fair probe and justice for VasantI Salelkar.
Police said they have noted the demands and further inquiry is underway.
