MARGAO: All the medical facilities and casualty ward has been finally shifted to the South Goa District Hospital at Fatorda, Margao.
The order was issued by Medical Superintendant Hospicio Hospital.
“It is to inform the general public that Old Hospital Medical facilities, including casualty and surgery ward, are shifted to South Goa District Hospital,” the order said.
At the same time, it is to be noted that Swab Centre from Gate No 07, Nehru Stadium Fatorda, is also shifted to South Goa District Hospital, and the timing of Swab testing will be 8 am to 8 pm.
The commissioning of teh hospital has been delayed as teh health Minister Vishwajit Rane plans a private Medical College in the hospital premises – a plan not approved by the Centre.
However, the recruitment for the hospital, COVID19 crisis, had also delayed the commissioning.
