New Delhi: In a shocking display of brutality and deception, the murder of Saurabh Rajput, a Merchant Navy officer from Meerut, has exposed the darker side of human relationships. The 29-year-old victim was brutally murdered by his wife, Muskaan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, in a well-planned and executed crime. The details of the case reveal a complex narrative of extramarital affairs, drug addiction, and the exploitation of social media to cover their tracks.
Saurabh Rajput was murdered on March 4, after being drugged, stabbed multiple times, and dismembered by Muskaan and Sahil. The post-mortem report revealed the extent of the brutality, with Saurabh suffering severe injuries, including decapitation and limb removal. His body was chopped into over 15 pieces, which were then sealed in a drum filled with cement.
The murder was allegedly planned due to Muskaan’s extramarital affair with Sahil. To execute their plan, Muskaan mixed sleeping pills into Saurabh’s food on March 4. Once he was asleep, she and Sahil killed him and dismembered his body. They attempted to mislead Saurabh’s family by sending messages from his phone and uploading pictures from his social media accounts, claiming that he was traveling.
Muskaan and Sahil’s use of social media was a key part of their cover-up strategy. They uploaded pictures from Manali, pretending that Saurabh was on a trip. However, when Saurabh failed to respond to family calls for several days, they filed a missing person complaint. Following this, Muskaan and Sahil were arrested, and under interrogation, they confessed to the crime.
