PANAJI: M.E.S Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar and Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao stormed into the finals of the Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Championship 2023-24 for Women, at Goa University Cricket Ground, Taleigao.
In the first semifinal, M.E.S Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar defeated Government College of Arts Science and Commerce (GCASC) Khandola by 7 Wickets
The toss was won by Government College of Arts Science and Commerce (GCASC) Khandola who elected to bat first.

Simran Naik 18(21), and Minakshi Agalikeri 10(17) not out were the top scorers.
Priya Gupta 2/05, Pooja Yadav 1/11 picked wickets for MES.
In reply, M.E.S Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar scored 76/3 in 12.2 overs.
Pooja Yadav 38(37), Harshada Kadam 09(12) batted well.
Sanjana Palkar 2/14, and Simran Naik 1/18 were wicket takers for Khandola.
In the second semifinal, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao defeated Goa College of Engineering by 102 runs.
Batting first, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao scored 173/0 in 15 overs.
Mitali Gawander 83(52) not out, and Tanaya Naik 67(44) not out were the topscorer.
In teh second innings, Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi scored 71/7 in 15 overs.
Riya Naik 18(21), Ivneet Kaur 10(23) not out abtted well.
