PANAJI: Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that Indian Navy has assured to support and help to douse the fire at Satre in Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary.
“Indian Navy has assured to support and help to douse the fire at Satre in Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary. APCCF & DCF have been issued directions to ensure the situation is controlled, ” said Rane.
He further said there is a need to ensure forest protection; if need be, they have also been instructed to take the help of Collector North Goa and Fire Services to Control the spread of fire.
Rane also said that the same is reported to the state government on priority.
“I will take a review and submit a report to the government. I am visiting the area today, ” he said.
