Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) has strongly criticised the statement of Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo in which he said that inclusion of DDSSY scheme for private Covid treatment will increase ‘burden’ on Private Hospitals.
“Ex Lokayukta was apt in his remarks that Michael Lobo is unfit to be a minister, his statement proves that he has no intentions for the welfare of common Goans. We have seen that most of the ministers took treatment in Private hospitals but they are not ok if common Goan has access to the same facilities”, said Surel Tilve.
AAP has been demanding for the inclusion of DDSSY scheme for Covid treatment in Private Hospitals as it will be a huge economic relief for every Goan.
“Looks like Michael Lobo has some vested interest, the way he welcomed the cancellation of DDSSY inclusion notification tell the story. Goans are reeling under Job and business loss, the expense incurred in Covid treatment are adding salt to their wounds. We all know that Govt hospitals have a limited capacity, need of the hour is to provide affordable treatment in private hospitals and DDSSY was a welcome step to it”, said Surel Tilve.
we can only wish Michael Lobo to be more vocal towards the issues of common Goans rather than corporate driven private hospitals. It is time that Lobo must become accountable to people who have voted for him. He is answerable to them.
