The North district collector has declared Fattawada, Nerul as a containment zone and some areas outside as as buffer zone after rise in COVID19 positive cases.
“It has been made to appear to the undersigned by the Health Officer, PHC Candolim, that there is need to declaration of micro containment zone and buffer zone in Nerul Village in Bardez taluka in north district being vulnerable to the spread of disease,” he said.
“Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Section 30 and Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and under provisions of Epidemic Diseases Act. 1897 read with The Goa Epidemic Disease COVID 19 Regulation 2020 1 R Menaka,. IAS. District Magistrate, North Goa do hereby declare entire geographical areas, part of war no 1, (fattawada, comprising of house no 18, 19/1, 19, 76, 77, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, /A, 74/B, 20/SC as Micro Containment Zone and remaining areas of Fattawada (Ward no 1) House no 90, 27,/1A, 27/1B as Bulfers Zone for all the purpose and objectives prescribed in the protocol of COVID-19 to prevent its spread in the adjoining areas,” the order reads.
