Panaji: A day after meeting in Delhi, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Friday said that mining in Goa should start within six months.
“The ball has been set rolling as the issue has been fast tracked by both Centre and the State,” Sawant said at a press conference.
He said the DMG officials are in coordination with Union Mines Ministry on a daily basis.
“The GMOEA has given submissions and we are hoepful that mining could start very early if there are no legal hurdles,” Sawant said.
He said that all three options are being weighed up – Abolition of MMDR Act, auction and the Corporation,” he said.
