Minor altercation leads to murder in Margao

MARGAO: A 47-year-old Sachit Borkar of Aquem Margao expired in the Goa Medical College after he was hit on the head by one Laxman Charan of Moti Dongor in an altercation near Konkan Railway Station, Margao.
As per information from police, On 27th July – 2021 at 23.30 hrs Suraj Virdikar of Calconda Margao lodged a complaint that on 27-07-2021 at 00.45 hrs at Aquem side of Konkan Railway Station, in front of kiosk of Renuka @ lambi Margao Goa the accused Laxman Chavan @ Pika of Moti Donger Margao assaulted victim Sachit Borkar of Aquem Margao aged 47 years during an altercation.
The victim was pushed and assaulted with a chair on the head, causing injuries on the head.
The complaint says the victim was unconscious and expired in GMC while undergoing treatment on 27th July 2021at about 1530 hrs.
An offense has been registered against the accused vide FIR NO 64/2021 u/s 302 of IPC by PI Sachin Narvekar of Margao Town Police Station. Accused Laxman Chavan @ Pika has been arrested. Further investigation is in progress.
