Cortalim: Verna police have registered a case of kidnapping following a complaint lodged by the mother of a minor girl from Chauder, Cortalim.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on January 31, 2026, at around 5.30 pm, when an unknown accused person allegedly unlawfully kidnapped the complainant’s minor daughter from her residence, taking her away from lawful guardianship.
Police have registered the offence and launched a search to trace the missing minor and identify the accused.
Further investigation in the case is being carried out by PSI Carey Fernandes of Verna Police Station.
