ZUARINAGAR: Verna Police have launched an investigation into the alleged kidnapping of a minor girl from Birla, Sancoale, after a complaint was lodged by her guardian.
According to the complaint filed by the victim’s relative, whose name has been withheld for privacy reasons, the incident occurred on October 6, 2025, around 12 noon at Birla, when an unknown person allegedly kidnapped the complainant’s minor niece from her lawful guardianship.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to kidnapping of a minor, and efforts are on to trace the accused and locate the missing girl.
Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Pramila Fernandes of Verna Police Station.
