PONDA: After being sexually raped by two young people, a minor girl was discovered to be pregnant, and two other minor girls in Ponda taluka have reportedly recently been kidnapped.
In the first incident, a 16-year-old girl reported feeling uneasy on Thursday and visiting a government hospital, according to Mardol Police.
She was seven weeks pregnant when the doctors examined her, and they informed the Mardol Police of the situation.
The girl’s statement was recorded by an NGO representative and a police team.
The girl claimed that two young people riding bikes had placed a cloth over her mouth during the incident, which left her unconscious, while she was riding home from Zatra.
She arrived home once she regained consciousness. She believes the two unidentified people must have raped her.
Police have filed a report against unidentified suspects, and the girl is receiving medical attention at the hospital.
A 17-year-old girl has reportedly been abducted in another incident, and Ponda Police have opened an investigation into the case after receiving a complaint from the girl’s parents.
