PANAJI: In a shocking incident, a six-year-old minor girl was raped by neighbor in Sirvoi on Friday.
A case has been registered at Quepem Police Station. Police Inspector Deepak Pednekar said that the girl had come with her parents to a relative’s house in Sirvoi.
The relatives were living in a rented house.
Omkar Lotulkar, a 21-year boy, from the neighbouring house got friendly with the girl. He attracted the girl by giving her mobile and took her in the room and committed the crime, Quepem police said.
The accused has been arrested on Friday and remand to three days custody.
He will be produced Children’s Court in Panaji again today.
