COLVA: Colva Police have registered a case of kidnapping after a minor girl was reported missing from her residence in Benaulim.
According to Colva Police Station Crime No. 12/2026, registered under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act, the complaint was lodged based on information received from a woman, whose identity has been withheld.
The complainant stated that her minor daughter went missing from her lawful guardianship on January 25 at around 5.30 p.m. from their residence in Benaulim. She further informed police that the minor girl was allegedly in a relationship with Eressvio Fernandes, also a resident of Benaulim.
During preliminary enquiries, police found that the said person is also missing since the same time, raising suspicion of a possible kidnapping or elopement.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Nikhil Khajnekar of Colva Police Station.
