VERNA: A case of alleged kidnapping has been registered at Verna Police Station following a complaint filed by the mother of a minor girl.
As per Verna P.S. Cr. No. 19/2026 registered under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act, the complainant — a resident of Sancoale, Mormugao and native of Karnataka — reported that her minor daughter (name withheld) left their residence on 03/02/2026 before 6:00 pm without informing anyone and has not returned home since.
The mother has expressed strong suspicion that an unknown person may have kidnapped her daughter from her lawful guardianship.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Rajdatt Arsekar of Verna Police Station.
