MIRABAG: Officials from the Water Resources Department (WRD), accompanied by police personnel, visited the Mirabag Bhandara project site to commence filling the pit. However, the property owner raised objections, insisting that proper procedures must be followed before any work begins.
The owner stated that the water in the pit should first be fully pumped out, followed by the placement of strong stones to form a stable foundation. Only after these steps should the filling process start.
Acknowledging the concerns, WRD officials agreed to consider the suggestions. The owner further announced that the gate would not be opened for filling work on the day of the visit. He proposed a meeting on Monday to finalize all necessary procedures and requested that the agreed plan be provided in writing. He emphasized that filling work would only proceed after official confirmation is received.
