Margao: The South Goa Hoteliers Association (SGHA) on Friday came down heavily on the state administration alleging a scam and misappropriation by District Administration while selecting hotels for persons arriving by flights.
SGHA has also demanded with an enquiry into the matter while also claiming to the meet Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik and submit their representation.
Addressing the Media, Imran Sayed, MD Anthurium Hotel said, “As a result of Covid 19 pandemic, the entire hotel industry is totally on a ventilator. And here the hotel owners who’s hotels have been impaneled for quarantine facilities have alleged a scam and misappropriation done by District Administration officials while selecting hotels for persons arriving by flights.”
He said, “We have sought appointed with the Governor of Goa once done we will submit the representation regarding the same.
He further said that they demand an inquiry into the matter.
Yesterday, the Goa Forward Party charged BJP led government of multi crore ‘Quarantine-Gate’ scam alleging that huge amount were collected from those stranded Goans, who were repatriated from abroad in view of Covid outbreak, in the name of quarantine facility.
