CURCHOREM: The 13-year-old schoolboy reported missing from Curchorem has been located safely in Belgaum, ending hours of concern and uncertainty.
The boy, who studies at Guardian Angel School, is believed to have left home after being reprimanded at school following an argument. Police sources said that, apprehensive about facing consequences, he left directly after school and boarded a state transport bus to Belgaum, where his mother resides.
The matter came to light after his family raised an alarm, prompting efforts to trace his whereabouts. Authorities later tracked the minor in Belgaum and informed his family about his safety.
The child’s safe recovery has brought considerable relief to his parents, school authorities, and residents of the area. Police said necessary procedures are being followed.
