VELIM: Cruz Silva, MLA of Velim Constituency, inaugurated the Aamche Arogya Polyclinic at Menezes Bhatt, MLA Office, São José de Areal. The clinic was inaugurated in the presence of Slater Alemao, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Jose Church, São José de Areal, along with Benaulim MLA Captain Venzy Viegas, Dr. Sean S. Da Silva (ASG Eye Specialist), Carmin Fernandes (Sarpanch, São José de Areal), Alex D. Silva (Sarpanch, Amelia), Amit Palekar (President, Aam Aadmi Party, Goa), Roque Mascarenhas (Vice President, AAP Goa), and other local panches.
This new facility marks the opening of the second eye clinic in the Velim constituency, following the success of the first clinic, which performed over 50 cataract operations in the past six months. The growing demand from residents of São José de Areal and Dicarpali has led to the establishment of this additional clinic, which will offer eye testing twice a week.
Speaking at the event, MLA Cruz Silva expressed his commitment to improving healthcare access, stating, “We are delighted to bring quality eye care services closer to the residents of São José de Areal and Dicarpali. The success of the first clinic has been truly inspiring, and this new polyclinic reflects our dedication to the health and well-being of our constituents.”
The Aamche Arogya Polyclinic aims to provide accessible and affordable eye care services to the local community, continuing its mission to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the region.
