Mapusa: In a moment of great honor and solemnity, Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza has joined the official Indian delegation led by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, to Vatican City to attend the State Funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis.
The delegation includes key dignitaries such as Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, and Minister of State for Minority Affairs and for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Shri George Kurian.
Speaking on the occasion, Joshua D’Souza expressed his deep sense of humility and responsibility. “I am humbled to join Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, and Minister of State for Minority Affairs and for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Shri George Kurian, in representing our nation at this solemn occasion,” he said.
The Indian delegation’s presence at the funeral underscores the strong diplomatic and spiritual ties between India and the Vatican.
