CALANGUTE: Calangute BJP MLA Michael Lobo said that he is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and that he is not a part of any new party formation.
“What news has appeared in papers is from Journalistic point of view, I dont want to further comment on it. I have spoken anything, it from Journalists point of view,” said Lobo
Saying it’s just a perspective from journalists, Lobo said that he is not willing to elaborate.
In addition to questioning why Subhash Velingkar made these contentious remarks a month prior to the Exposition of the Holy Relics of St. Francis Xavier, Lobo has taken aim at attempts to sabotage communal harmony in Goa.
“It’s a plot to deflect focus from the demonstrations against land conversion,” he added
Lobo said police had not arrested Velingkar despite several court judgements in similar cases. He said people should try to understand and maintain peace. Meanwhile, Michael said it is a conspiracy to pass the Bhutani and Zuari land projects. The Zuari project has obtained sanad during these days he said.
