PERNEM: Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar objected to the decision just hours after the Sunburn organizers formally selected Dhargalim as the new location for the electronic dance music festival.
He declared that he would not permit the gathering to take place in Dhargalim. “Such incidents in Pernem are not what we desire. “This is not a part of our culture,” he stated, recommending that instead of Pernem, it be hosted at its former locations in Candolim, Vagator, or Mandrem.
Sunburn organizers announced on Instagram Tuesday night that Dhargalim, Pernem, would be the new location for the festival, which was originally planned for December 28–30. The location is close to the Mopa Link flyover bridge and Ayush Ayurveda Hospital.
The festival is scheduled to run from 2 pm to 10 pm every day, and tickets start at Rs 3,500 per person. The event’s organizers have clarified that government approval is still pending.
The event is subject to government authorization, according to organizers on a booking website amid the ongoing mystery about the venue. Numerous locations have voted against permitting this EDM, including Quitol, Candolim, Camurlim, Varca, Verna, Chicalim, Vasco, and Agonda.
