PANAJI: Reacting to the FIR filed by Goa Police against him, fellow opposition MLAs, and around 450 protesters following the Panaji demonstration over the alleged assault on activist Rama Kankonkar, Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has vowed that the opposition will not be intimidated.
“FIRs won’t silence Goa, they only expose the BJP government’s fear,” Sardesai said. “The BJP thinks FIRs can intimidate me, fellow opposition MLAs, and the 450 brave Goemkars who stood up against injustice. But let it be clear — we will never be silenced. The real FIR will be filed by the people of Goa, against Gundaraj, arrogance, and betrayal of democracy.”
Sardesai and other opposition leaders have made it clear that they will continue to raise their voices against what they call the BJP government’s misrule and authoritarian tactics.
