MORMUGAO: Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) councillors have raised serious concerns over alleged illegal activities at the Hindu crematorium in Sada, managed by the MMC. The issue surfaced after a massive drug bust worth ₹43 crore , where the accused were reportedly residing at the crematorium along with the caretaker. Councillors claim the premises were being misused, enabling criminal activities. They have demanded an urgent inquiry by MMC, stressing that the property belongs to the council. They also called for strict police action without any political interference, asserting that the case must reach a logical conclusion and the culprits receive strict punishment.
