VASCO: Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) has on Wednesday issued a stern warning to owners of vehicles abandoned along the roads at many locations in Vasco
MMC Chairperson Leo Rodrigues on Wednesday even threatened to scrap the vehicles if they are not cleared by the owners
“I want to request people to please clear their vehicles that are lying abandoned at various locations in Vasco. These vehicles pose a danger to people, cause traffic congestion, eat up parking space and become an eye sore,” he said.
He stated that he wanted to inform everyone that he had already met Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar and Traffic PI Shailesh Narvekar, and we had decided to drive against the abandoned vehicles. MMC will clear these vehicles within 15 days, and we will dump these vehicles at Sada and subsequently scrap these vehicles if they are not cleared within 15 days,” said Rodrigues.
