Mapusa:
Following public pressure, the Mapusa Municipal Council, Council decided resolved to ask the North Goa Planning and Development Authority to revoke permission to Cuchelim Communidade for development of plots.
In a first meeting convened by chairperson Ryan Braganza the council observed that that the the project is coming up is a recreational zone and not settlement.
“We will write to NGPDA to revoke permission for the plot development project, Ryan Braganza told reporters.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Officer Kabir Shrigaonkar and Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza.
The members felt that the Cuchelim Communidade got the approvals for the plot development project illegally.
The members felt the Cuchelim Communidade got the approvals by misguiding the authorities.
Joshua D’Souza informed reporters that the land for Ravindra Bhavan is already identified and willingness for the same is already given by the concern stakeholders.
