Valpoi: The Valpoi Police have registered an offence under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against several persons for allegedly attacking a local resident and damaging his vehicle during a Diwali night altercation over loud music at Honda in Sattari.
According to police, the case (Cr No. 61/2025) was registered on the complaint of Rupesh Poke, a resident of Honda, who alleged that around 12:15 am on October 20, a mob of nearly 400 people—led by identified accused Krishna Goankar, Shivdas Madkar, Gautam Parsekar, and seven others—formed an unlawful assembly and stormed into the Honda Police Outpost premises.
The mob allegedly criminally trespassed, intimidated, and assaulted the complainant, causing him injuries, and also damaged his vehicle.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute over loud music played during Diwali celebrations and previous enmity.

The investigation is being conducted by LPSI Samiksha Naik.
