Mapusa: A 36-year-old mason from Guirim lodged a complaint with the police alleging that his mobile phone was snatched by unknown persons near a bar and restaurant in Mapusa on December 20.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred at around 2 pm on December 20 near a bar and restaurant in Mapusa, Bardez. The complainant, Uday Ashok Madar, a resident of Vanciowado, Guirim, stated that unknown accused persons, acting with common intention, snatched and stole his pista-coloured POCO mobile handset with dual SIM connectivity, valued at approximately ₹6,000.
The complainant further alleged that after the theft, the accused damaged the stolen handset, causing an additional loss of around ₹3,000.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter to trace the accused.
