PANAJI: Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTC) today has launch a QR-based mobile ticketing system on July 16 in association with digital payments company PAYTM.
Paytm provides multiple products & services like Card recharges. mobile-based ticketing for city bus. With the launch of QR-code-based ticketing system, we have taken a step towards creating urban mobility solutions that are future-ready. “We believe that by offering these tech-powered solutions, we will serve the transit needs of commuters more efficiently and seamlessly.” said Paytm
This feature would help over 1 lakh riders using KTCL services every day to book QR ticket using Paytm and enjoy seamless connectivity. These tickets can be pre-booked and comes with a validity of one hour. It’s a first in industry to provide QR code based tickets in Kadamba Transport Corp. Ltd and expanding to other cities as well.
Buses. KTCL operates 400 Intra and Inter state schedules 1.e; 299 Intra and 101 Inter state schedules with Semi Luxury, Luxury, AC sleeper and Volvo Buses in neighbouring states of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana. During pre covid period KTCL buses were operating 95000 kilometers daily thereby earning daily revenue of Rs.21 to 22 Lakhs. Currently due to Covid-19 Pandemic KTCL buses are operating around 32,000 kilometers daily thereby earning daily revenue of Rs.6.5 to 7 lakhs Apart from above, KTCL was operating 86 Buses to Government school in various Talukas of Goa and 40 Nos. Buses to aided school..
KTCL is also in the process of procuring additional 100Nos, 34 seater Electric buses to run on every nook and corner in the state of Goa..
