PONDA: Mobile tower construction work near KTC Bus stand has stopped by alert citizens with help of NH authorities.
According to locals the land was acquired for service road construction of NH after widening of four lane road from Safa Masjid to Farmagudi – Bhoma.
According to locals since past month Contractor started digging for construction of mobile towar by the side of road leading towards KTC bus stand opposite the Safa Masjid.
As locals learnt about it is just constructed on land acquired for four lane widening they informed NH Authorities, following which the officials rushed and stopped the work. The NH sources confirmed that the said towar was constructed on land acquired by it for proposed service road for four lane widening project.
Though PWD has given for permission for mobile company, the said land is already acquired by NH for four lane widening where service road will be constructed.
It may recall that the seven Km NH stretch from Khandepar to Safa Masjid has been already widened four years ago and KTC Bus stand to Bhoma would be widened in next phase.
The land has been acquired near KTC bus stand ponda for four lane widening, technical approval also sanctioned by NH authorities and after getting financial approval from Central Government the work on four lane widening will start from KTC to Bhoma.
