CANACONA – Reiterating ‘Swayampurn Goem’ will be a reality very soon, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant called on the women to register themselves with the respective local bodies (Panchayat’s) under MNREGA, and it will be the responsibility of the government to provide a job for a minimum of 10 days in a month.
‘We had already planned and decided 10 days of work, and though it may be different and in various forms, whoever has registered their names under MNREGA with the panchayats will be given the jobs. I request all the women to write their names under MNREGA with the panchayat,” he said.
“Anything and everything will be done by the government to do development and employment. Infrastructure and human development will be done subtly in the next five years,” he said.
He further also promised a mobile tower within three months.
“I assure you to provide a mobile tower within 3 months and resolve your network issue, which has hampered children’s studies in the last two and half years. Besides, any government project on any government (Revenue) land will be done without hassles; such NOCs will be issued within 8 days to the concerned department,” he promised.
Sawant added that in other works such as electricity, water supply and roads, there won’t be any need for NOC, but since it will be between department to department, instructions are being issued to obtain approvals departmentally without wasting much time, and there won’t be any issues for land utilisations.
Sawant also declared that the government has decided to allot land on which your house is built to register it in the owner’s name.
Speaking on occasion, Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar made a vehement appeal to the chief minister to solve the network connectivity issue in Khotigao by persuading any service provider to set up a tower.
“The service provider may not make a profit, but it will help the villagers, especially the student’s community who have suffered due to network problems for the last 2 and half years,” he said.
Speaker further stated a double engine government will enable no issues, also sought the Chief Minister’s intervention to resolve the land issues such as Kumari and residential houses, as people mostly residing in revenue lands are facing various problems, besides helping realise people’s aspirations to increase all types of farming output.
