MOLLEM: Residents of Mollem have once again staged a protest against the alleged illegal functioning of Parsekar Foods Pvt. Ltd., claiming that the unit continues to operate despite repeated objections from the local community. Villagers from Palaskatta and nearby areas gathered to voice their concerns and demanded immediate intervention from authorities.
Locals alleged that the operations of the facility have been causing inconvenience, including foul odour and environmental disturbances affecting daily life. They claimed that several complaints had already been submitted to concerned departments, but no concrete action has been taken so far.
Protesters questioned whether the unit has obtained the required permissions and clearances, urging officials to conduct a detailed inspection. They maintained that if any violations are found, the authorities should take strict action, including stopping operations.
Residents also raised concerns over possible health and environmental impacts, stating that the continued functioning of the unit has created unease in the village. They stressed that the issue has remained unresolved for a long time despite repeated appeals.
The villagers warned that they would intensify their agitation if prompt steps are not taken. They further called on the government and regulatory authorities to address the matter urgently and ensure that local concerns are resolved at the earliest.
