New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday described the Indian armed forces’ precision strikes under Operation Sindoor as a “moment of pride for all of us” while briefing his cabinet colleagues on the retaliatory action taken against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes were carried out in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 innocent lives.
In the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister called the mission a “perfect strike”, praising the coordination and execution by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. According to sources, PM Modi detailed how Indian forces targeted four terror hubs in Pakistan’s Punjab province and five in PoK, ensuring that only terrorist infrastructure was hit, with no civilian or military collateral damage.
“Hum sab ke liye garv ka pal hai (This is a moment of pride for all of us),” the Prime Minister reportedly told his ministers. The cabinet members, in turn, lauded PM Modi’s leadership and resolve during the tense days following the Pahalgam attack, which had triggered nationwide outrage and demands for a strong response.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to brief President Droupadi Murmu on the developments at Rashtrapati Bhavan later in the day.
The Pahalgam terror attack in Baisaran Valley, which killed 25 tourists and a local pony operator, had drawn global condemnation and left the nation shocked. In the aftermath, PM Modi vowed at a public rally in Bihar that India would chase down the terrorists and their handlers “to the ends of the earth”.
