PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that monitoring your BP regularly is a simple yet powerful step toward a healthier life.
“Everyone should keep a close watch on their blood pressure (BP), as uncontrolled BP is a silent contributor to heart disease, stroke and other severe health complications,” said Rane
He further said that small lifestyle adjustments like maintaining a balanced diet, exercising regularly, reducing salt intake, managing stress and avoiding tobacco and excessive alcohol can keep your BP in check.
“Monitoring your BP regularly is a simple yet powerful step toward a healthier life,” he added
Speaking further, Rane said that the ongoing Cancer Detection Abhiyan is not just a health initiative, but a life saving movement for Goans.
“By providing free screenings for oral, breast, cervical and gastrointestinal cancers, this initiative empowers our citizens with timely access to essential diagnostics,” he added
Rane said that early detection increases the chances of successful treatment and significantly reduces mortality rates, making this program a critical tool in our fight against cancer.
