PANAJI: Morjim Villagers today have petitioned the Special Investigation Team (SIT) Land grab against two companies for allegedly grabbing 1.80 lakh land.
As per the information, the two companies have been identified as GCA GHAI Ingram Ltd and M/S IRAP LLP.
As per villagers, the two companies GCA GHAI INFRA Itd and M/S IRAP INFRA LLP grabbed 1 lakh 80 thousand 925 square meters of land and started plotting and construction in Morjim keeping the land owners in the dark.
“Both of the companies have begun plotting and the owners are not aware. This is injustice. CM Sawant must intervene in the matter,” one of the villagers said
He also said that they have thrown light on the issue of the SIT Land Grab.
The villagers of Morjim have demanded the attention of the land grab SIT as well as Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
In November last year, the ED provisionally attached 31 immovable properties worth Rs 39.24 crore in the money laundering probe against the people involved in the land-grabbing scam.
The ED had initiated the PMLA investigation on the basis of various FIRs registered by the Goa police against Vikrant Shetty, Mohammed Suhail, Rajkumar Maithi and others.
