VALPOI: Parye MLA Dr. Deviya Rane on Tuesday announced that the ongoing drinking water project at Morle will resolve the water scarcity faced by four panchayats—Morle, Honda, Pisurle and Parye—once completed.
Speaking at a Ganesh Chaturthi food distribution programme at Morle Community Hall, Rane said the government was committed to making every village in the constituency tanker-free. “Providing facilities to the people is the duty of a public representative, but the cooperation of citizens is equally important,” she said.
The MLA highlighted that road connectivity in the constituency had improved significantly in the past three years and that the Goa government had effectively implemented several welfare schemes. She urged panchayat members to ensure that no ward was left out of government benefits.
Warning people against being misled ahead of the 2027 assembly elections, Rane appealed to citizens to support leaders who focus on development.
The event was attended by ZP member Devyani Gavas, Morle Sarpanch Amit Shirodkar, Dy. Sarpanch Ruchita Mainkar, panch members, social activists and other local leaders.
On the occasion, food grains were distributed to Ganesh devotees by the MLA.
