VASCO: Mormugao taluka BJP mandals have condemned the recent visit by Congress MLAs to the Mormugao police station.
BJP mandals have alleged interference by the opposition party leaders into the free and fair investigation by the Police in the fight on the Holi day matter.
On Monday evening Sanjay Satardekar, Mormugao BJP Mandal head, said that Police are doing their job of investigating the matter of clash between the two families.
But on Sunday, some Congress leaders came to Mormugao police station and questioned Police about the arrest and offence put on some individuals, which is not fair.
He further opined that we must give a free hand to the Police to investigate the matter.
Tulasidas Naik, Cortalim BJP Mandal chief, also condemned the recent visits of Congress leaders to the Mormugao police station and also criticised the Margao Congress MLA Digambar Kamat for his interference in the Mormugao constituency and questioned how he knew who was sitting at home and who was doing what on the day of Holi.
Prajay Mayekar, councillor of MMC, said “MLA Micheal Lobo doesn’t know the Gundagiri happening in the Mormugao area and to know the ground reality, he should meet our karyakartas and get knowledge about it. Lobo is saying things that he has been fed by others, but he doesn’t know the reality,” he added.
