MARGAO: The Nationalist Congress party president Jose Philipe D’Souza today claimed that many of the 10 Congress turncoats, who jumped to BJP, are in talks for entry into the Sharad Pawar led party in the State.
Speaking to media here, D’Souza said that many leaders across states are in talks with NCP including the many out of 10 who joined BJP from Congress.
“Many out of 10 also had a primary meeting with us. I won’t disclose the names of who had meeting with us. We only kept distance from this leaders as we are waiting for Congress party decision on alliance to avoid further mess,” he said.
He said the NCP has to think in all angles.
“Once the decision of alliance is declared with the seat sharing formula, we will be free to take the decision on whom to give entry or not. We have to see the seat sharing also which constituencies we will get,” he added.
He said that if Congress doesn’t want alliance they are free to take their own decisions but till now we are waiting for their response.
