New Delhi: Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Sadanand Tanavade visited Bharat Parv 2026 being held at the historic Red Fort, New Delhi, and toured the Goa Theme Pavilion set up by the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa.
During his visit, Shri Tanavade explored the Goa Pavilion, which showcases the State’s rich cultural heritage, tourism potential and historical legacy. He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Bibva Gaonkar from the Department of Tourism, Mr. Pankaj Marathe, Joint Director, Information and Publicity, and Shri Shyam Gaonkar, Assistant Information Officer.
The MP witnessed vibrant folk dance performances by Goan folk artists, which drew appreciation from visitors for their authentic portrayal of Goa’s traditional art forms.
Shri Tanavade also visited the Goa Tableau presented by the Department of Information and Publicity, Government of Goa. Based on the theme “Swatantrata Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Vande Mataram,” the tableau highlighted the legacy of the Goan Freedom Movement, prominently featuring the historic Aguada Jail Museum along with a powerful depiction of Bharat Mata, symbolising patriotism, sacrifice and national unity.
He appreciated the concept, artistic excellence and visual storytelling of the tableau and commended noted Goan artist Sushant Khedekar and his entire team for their dedicated efforts in creating a meaningful and impactful presentation.
The MP further witnessed stage performances by Goan artists as well as artists from Uttarakhand, reflecting India’s cultural diversity and the spirit of unity celebrated at Bharat Parv 2026.
The Goa Pavilion and Tableau have attracted significant attention from visitors and have been widely appreciated for effectively showcasing Goa’s cultural identity, freedom struggle and artistic excellence.
