PANAJI: Superintendent of Police Nidhin Valson informed that alleged serial killer Shivprasad Dhurve arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police, is not involved in any crimes in Goa.
The alleged killer was interrogated by the Goa police as the pattern of the murders matched with some incidents in the coastal state.
“Alleged serial killer Shivprasad Dhurve arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police, is not involved in any crimes in Goa. He had confessed to having worked in Goa,” said Valson.
He further said that Dhurve had worked in a restaurant in the Calangute area from May 1 to 31 last year.
Dhurve, who was arrested from Bhopal in the early hours, allegedly killed three watchmen in Sagar town and a watchman in Bhopal in five days between August 28 and September 1.
The first three killings happened in a span of 72 hours, while the fourth victim from Bhopal was bludgeoned to death a few hours before Shivprasad Dhurve was arrested on September 2.
