MARGAO: Margao Town Police have registered a case against an employee of Mr. DIY store at Kayji Palladium, Power House, Margao, for allegedly committing theft of store items worth over ₹7.7 lakh.
The complaint was lodged by Rahul Sharma, store manager, who alleged that between February 13 and August 28, 2025, the accused employee, Piyush Narendra Wanve, a resident of Mandopa, Navelim and originally from Nagpur, Maharashtra, misappropriated various items from the store.
According to police, the stolen goods included household items worth ₹1,16,513, gift items worth ₹1,84,245, toys worth ₹68,557, hardware worth ₹1,15,620, cosmetics and car accessories worth ₹1,52,230, and electronics worth ₹51,906, bringing the total value of stolen property to ₹7,73,363.
Further investigation is underway with ASI Dilkush Velip of Margao Town Police Station.
