MSME Banking & MSEFC Excellence award 2023 presented

PANAJI: The Directorate of Industries, Trade & Commerce has informed that the Chamber of Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) has awarded the MSEFC Goa with the MSEFC Excellence Award, 2023, by recognizing the efforts taken by the Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (MSEFC) functioning under the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce Government of Goa.
The prestigious MSME Banking and MSEFC Excellence Award-2023 was organized by the Chamber of India Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) and was held at the Dr. Ambekar International Center on February 29, 2024.
The distinguished guests who presided the award ceremony were Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shri. Narayan Tatu Rane, Justice (Retd), Supreme Court of India, Shri Deepak Varma, representative of Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce, Shri Pratik P. Porob, and Chartered Accountant, Member of the MSEFC Goa Shri N. J. Prabudesai, received the award at the hands of Deepak Verma and President of the CIMSME, Mukesh Mohan Gupta.
The MSE Facilitation Council (MSEFC) Goa received the MSEFC Excellence Award in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the Micro and Small industries (MSEs) in Goa. Their efforts have significantly aided in the recovery of dues through the process of conciliation and arbitration. The Council has helped in recovery of dues of 10.41 Crore in respect of 111applications filed before it during the 2022-2023 period. The MSE Facilitation Council (MSEFC) Goa comprises of Chairperson (Council), Ms Egna Cleetus, IAS, Lead Bank Manager (SBI), Shri Gopal Kerkar, Chartered Accountant, Shri Narayan J. Prabhudesai, Representative for GSIA, Shri Rohit Zantye, Adv. Galileo Francisco Teles as member. There are over 100 such MSEFCs in India helping in recovery of MSE dues, duly bringing into effect various MSME friendly provisions contained in the MSMED Act made for the promotion and development of MSMEs.
