PORVORIM: Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has reaffirmed the state government’s strict stance on crime and law and order, highlighting that Goa currently boasts the highest crime detection rate in the country at over 92%.
Addressing the recent assault on Rama Kankonkar, CM Sawant said that more than 7–8 individuals involved in the case have already been arrested. “Such incidents of ‘Gundagiri’ will not be tolerated. We will get to the root of the cause, and justice will be ensured,” he added.
The Chief Minister emphasized that both the Home Department and Goa Police are working tirelessly to ensure that anyone involved in criminal activities is brought to justice. He assured that the accused will face the appropriate and just punishment.
