PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today inspected the Manohar Parrikar Swimming Pool Complex at Campal in view of 37th National Games 2023 Goa.
“Nearly 99 % preparation of the 37th National Games is complete and all venues will be ready by Oct 15. Campal is the main venue for the games, The games will be inaugurated by PM Modi on Oct 26 at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao,” said Sawant peaking to media persons after inspecting the Campal sports village.
He further said that all the sporting tents will be ready in the next 5 days, these tents will be holding the dining and kitchen area.
“The first games at Campal are scheduled for October 22. Traffic measures are worked upon by SP Traffic in view of the games in the capital city.
Sawant said that they are 100 percent on time. National Games Goa will be unique. All preparations are also done in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Goa,” CM Sawant emphasized.
The Chief Minister also praised the hard work of contractors and agencies involved in the preparations, indicating a commitment to delivering a successful National Games.
Goa is set to host 41 out of the 43 disciplines at the National Games, with golf and cycling competitions taking place in Delhi. With state-of-the-art infrastructure developed for the event, Sawant invited sports associations and national federations to make year-round use of these facilities.
