PONDA: The Locals at Curti Khandepar have pointed out the attention of authorities to overflowing natural drains with wastewater at Zingdimaal Curti Hill, which is causing a nuisance and stench smell in the area.
The nullah turned black due to the discharge of domestic water.
Rocky Dias said that some years back, the locals had even complained about illegal houses at Zigdimaal Hills. He said there is no proper disposal system here, and migrants settled here to release their domestic household waste, including urine, into natural drains meant for carrying rainwater.
People have connected their waste connection into natural drains, gutters and nullahs.
He said Panchayat and Concerned authorities take action into the matter.
He said many people are using natural spring water to irrigate Bagayat, and if such wastewater flows into springs, it would be difficult for locals to cultivate Bagayat trees.
